Using SharePoint as a CMS for ASP pages
Hi,
I have been handed about 30 ASP pages for a marketing site. Until this point, the changes were made by marketing and handed to developers that change the ASP pages. This as you can imagine has some problems.
These pages follow a pretty standard template, and most of the changes are adding new products and updating marketing material.
There is a Share Point site for internal items, but could this also be used for developing content for the external site? For whatever reason, they don’t want to put all the site into Share Point. I understand that Share Point is written in ASP, but I don’t know if it can be used in this way. Forgive my lack of Share Point knowledge, but I have only been a Share Point consumer on a limited basis, not a developer.
If it is possible, what type of things should I research to understand how this would be implemented?
Thanks,
Bob
