IOS 5, iPhone and Cox email

I have updated my iPhone 4 to the new IOS 5.  Now I am having trouble sending messages from my .cox account.  Prior to this I didn't have any problems because I had cmwx as my outgoing mail server for when I wasn't at home and it worked fine.  Now it is not there anymore.
Do I use something different now for outgoing on the road?

Mobile / Secure Email Settings
Use Mobile / Secure Email Settings when setting up email on devices like iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Smart Phones (i.e. Android, HTC), or a Mobile PC such as laptop or netbook that is used off the Cox Network.
 
Note: Cox has updated the Email Server Names in order to make setting up email easier for our customer. If however, you currently have the old mail server names of pop.east.cox.net or pop.west.cox.net it is not necessary to update those settings.

SMTP Server (Outgoing Mail): smtp.cox.net
Incoming POP Port: 995 (SSL port for pop.cox.net)

Outgoing SMTP Port:
587 with TLS enabled
465 with SSL enabled
Ensure SSL is set to ON
Note: If you select port 465, you must enable SSL.

Can you verify that when you selected your pop account, you have the SMTP server selected and set to port 465 with SSL enabled.
anything for authentication?
password as Authentication
Something is wrong with your email address. The server is not recognizing that as a valid address.
I deleted the account and then added it back in and it works fine now except that it shows "1" in my Outbox but no message to send or delete.  How do I get rid of the number "1"?
