Online Cloud Storage with Local Storage - Which Provider to use?

We are wanting to have some local storage that also backups to cloud storage. An IT company recommended doing Egnyte with Netgear ReadyNAS devices. We have a couple locations so there would be a NAS at those locations that sync certain folders to the Egnyte cloud. We would probably get getting 2x 1 or 2TB and 1x 4 or 8 TB NAS and use 1TB of cloud storage, so only certain folders on the NAS's would be syncing to the cloud.

My question, do you think this is the best route or what other companies offer similar services at an affordable price? This is in a 2003 SBS domain.

Acronis do provide this feature in their latest version. But if you have a NAS and want parallel backups then you can use sugarsync  as a cloud based backup
Acronis will help you to bacup the files locally as well as on cloud. In order to save space you can schedule the tasks so that initially you will have a full backup and then it will maintain the incremental backups. Thus it would consume less space and the data transfer wont be huge

We recently implemented a very similar setup with based on egnyte, as we were really impressed by all the other companies that already trust in this technology.

The only difference we have is that we simply backup everything from the Nas Stations to the cloud as the process of deciding which files to take simply takes up far too much time, but that is up to you.

Nevertheless I highly recommend giving it a try and if there are still open questions you can also call them they have really good phone support !

Is Acronis AD integrated? I know Egnyte and the Netgear devices are which is a need. The Acronis local storage is also on your local computer not a NAS right? We would need the NAS to communicate with the cloud not us doing it all.

Acronis offers both features of storage
You can backup on your NAS or upload it to their cloud storage

Google has its own cloud backup mechanism. Even google apps do provide some backup mechanism in its marketplace.
Microsoft has its own free 5gb cloud storage  by the name if SkyDrive
