Sharepoint for a commercial website

I have purchased a sharepoint 2010 hosting plan from a hosting provider. What I want to do is create a commercial website using Sharepoint that I can use to sell subscription based services (data analysis services).

Anyone knows if or how this may require some kind of licensing or if by paying my hosting provider I do not need to pay any other licenses?

Regards.

Hi

The host provider is responsible for the licencing. They should have an internet licence for SharePoint which when I last looked was in the the region of $22k which will allow them to host multiple SharePoint site with unlimited user access

Termed a "Site License" - For large organizations
"Unlimited SharePoint WFE servers and users in one geographical location"

The question is do they provide the SharePoint setup if they do then they are responsible for the licence. If it is only a host for a sharepoint environment then that responsibility may reside with you.
I would need to look at the product description that you have purchased.

Hope this helps

correction miss read my licence document.

Termed SharePoint Server 2010 for Internet Sites, Enterprise or Standard
This is limited to per server.

But again if they are selling you a SharePoint Solution with a basic SharePoint setup which is internet facing its their responsibility to licence it.
