IIS/Exchange Broken after failed Filemaker Server install

Hi All,
A junior tech installed FM server into an exchange 2010 server. He selected to install the web parts of FM but the install failed halfway through and has broken IIS and Exchange.

we get: "500 - internal server error." when trying to access OWA and outlook over https does not connect.

I also get this error when opening EMS
[Server Name] Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client cannot complete the operation within the time specified. Check if the machine name is valid and is reachable over the network and firewall exception for Windows Remote Management service is enabled. For more information, see the about_Re mote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
    + CategoryInfo          : OpenError: (System.Manageme....RemoteRunspace:RemoteRunspace) [], PSRemotingTransportExc
   eption
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PSSessionOpenFailed

Finally I'm also getting event ID:2280
The Module DLL C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\isapi.dll failed to load.  The data is the error.

Thanks for your help Experts!

Hi there,

I would start by restoring the virtual directories, have a look at this link, follow it and let us know how you get on.

As you are probably aware by now, FMS is not qualified to run on an Exchange server.

I'm not familiar enough with Exchange to give any pertinent advice, but in general FileMaker tech support does not charge for "installation" issues. I don't know if they can/will help you in an instance like this, but it might be worth a try to give them a call.
