Help! non system disk or disk error after Norton Ghost V11.5

Hi,
I have tried to take a disk to image of my HP Probook 4310s onto a external USB drive using Norton 11.5v, Norton started loading some drivers and then when I went to select my local disk it came up with a message about no disk found, I have now tried to boot my laptop back on and I get "non system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready" I am running Windows XP on it, I have tried to boot into the Winxp CD and gone to recovery and I get "the path or file specified is not valid" I tried to FIXMBR and it does nothing HELP!
Thanks

Maybe your disk is not fix properly,
you can open the cover of the hard disk that being at the bottom of the notebook and push the hard disk to make sure it connected.

did you try to use "Hiren's Boot CD"?
this may fix your issue

I have a copy of Hirens boot CD but unsure what to use on it, as I have never used it before?

JassimiCommented:
Put it in CD drive and restart your notebook and boot from the CD,
you will see many options, you can check any option there that u may think it will fix your issue,
don't worry about these options.

that CD is illegal - and cannot be used on EE - your posts can be deleted!
anyhow, in the notebook, if all sectors are 0  - i fear everything is lost
try booting from alive cd, to backup your data - here a couple :
