toshiba C650D no power after trip

My partner tripped over the power cord on his laptop toshiba C650D now it ran out of batterry and then nothing!! we could no longer turn it on and yes we have tried other chargers but the laptop will not turn on? any advice...?

I would guess that the DC Power Jack will have to be repaired.
seems something came apart or disconnected
you removed, and reseated the battery also?  if that is not connected...

you have to open the laptop and inspect if all devices are properly seated - best remove them and reconnect disk, cd drive ram
There is no mystery here.  edbedb is correct.  Geek Squat or other chain store will charge an unreasonable fee, $200 or more.  A local PC shop should charge ~ $100.  In my area, I take this specific repair to a shop that serves the immigrant communities.  $45 at that shop.  

More often than not, this is a simple soldering task.  Sometimes, the connector must be replaced, not just resoldered.  The cost is model specific - $15 to $45, plus labor.
