Does anyone know how to import the following registry key as a ADM template?

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\Components]
"GeneralFlags"=dword:00000002

The above means 'Lock desktop items is enabled' and below means 'It's disabled'

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\Components]
"GeneralFlags"=dword:00000000

Any Ideas?

Regards,

Hi
This is how you would write the ADM file.

Save this as a .adm file then ad to the ADM folder of the policy, you can then import it from there. (You may need to remove the filter on GPO as below)

To view preference settings for all ADM files in the Group Policy Object Editor
Right-click any administrative template node and then click View.

Click Filtering and in the filtering dialog box, clear the check box for Only show policy settings that can be fully managed.

Click OK.

Hope this helps

Did you check the filter is not selected?

1

Right-click any administrative template node and then click View.

2

Click Filtering and in the filtering dialog box, clear the check box for Only show policy settings that can be fully managed.
