Crystal Report Query Engine Error

Dear All,

I have a asp.net web application that is using asp simple grid reporting till now, but due to the large data we want to switch to crystal reports to speedup the reporting.

We have converted 1 report to crystal reports and found it working in development machine but while running from User Testing Env we get the error in attach.

Your feedback will be really helpful.

Kind Regards,

 Crystal report loading runtime error

What did you install on the test machine?

By test machine, I assume you mean the web server.

Does the client/user have permissions to the report files, the server temp directories, and the Crystal virtual directories?

Yes i have given the permission to Everyone on root and temp folders.
Is there is any licensing issue???
Or
I should install the complete crystal report as i am using the crystal report within VS .Net 2002
Or
There might be any versioning issue???
Thank you for your time.

If you are using CR.Net from VS2002, you can't install CR on the server since it will require VS2002 to be installed.

Which merge modules did you install on the server?
Where did you get them?

How did you install the application on the server?

That is the runtime for CR9. not the version included with VS2002.

You need the VS2002 CR merge modules from your link above.  Also read the PDF on how to use them

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I will test this  and confirm you at the earliest, only one small thing that i am generating the crystal report at runtime using class file and using .XSD for dataset. will this make any difference??

Will get back to you one this.

Kind Regards,

mlmccCommented:
It shouldn't.  You need the modules on the server to be the same version as the modules you built the application and report with.
