LDAP and DN String question on SBS 2008 server

we are trying to authenticate oracle database users using Active Directory (SBS2008).

1)  How to test and find if LDAP is setup on SBS 2008 server ?

2)  How to find the correct DN string from our current SBS 2008 server ?

In that page there are some tools you can use
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/network.920/a96579/comtools.htm#631224

I don't know oracle, but you can use ldap to query active directory, for example

you can use dn=user to point to container users

or OU=otherusers to point to a OU that you create where the user is located in AD

you have to specify domain name with DC, for example for example.local domain you should use

DC=example,DC=local

and your full command to test could be

ldapsearch -h myserver -p 389 -s base -b "DN=users,dc=example,dc=local" "objectclass=*"
