Will changing incoming ISP and OWA IP Break BES?

I am changing my ISP. The ISP provides the services for e-mail incoming/outgoing and for OWA. If I change my ISP will this cause any problems with my BES? If so, what wouuld I need to change on the BES side? Or will having my ISP change the IP associated with OWA and the MX Record be all that is needed? Does BES even rely on OWA?

BES doesn't use OWA, this would only affect devices that use activesync such as iPhone or Android.  All BES needs is a working internet connection, as it collects all the email from the server and then sends direct to the device (via RIM's servers) as long as none of your server names internally are changing there won't be a problem.

I agree. I have done this numerous times with no BES issues.

You may need to change your MX records in advance ( add additional ones in preparation for the change )

ALso check anything using static Public IPs

    I hope this helps !

    I dont see any issues.
Make sure that your BES server is able to communicate to the SRP on port 3101 after the change.

    Good luck

    Thanks everyone!

    To recap:
    1) I'll make sure port 3101 is opened
    2) add a new MX record to our new ISP circuit in advance
3)BES needs to communicate to my Exchange (which isn't changing) and go directly out to the internet.
