Default MVC3 project : Questions about CSS

This come from the Default MVC3 project using Visual Studio Professional 2010.

#logindisplay a:hover
    color: white;
    text-decoration: none;

I am not sure what the a:hover hover means.

Please explain.

    Accepted Solution

    This means that when someone hovers over a <a> tag the color will turn white and there will be no underline (which is typical for a hyperlink).

    Oh, and it will only happen with there is an ID of logindisplay
