Valid RSS feed

Hi All,

I'm new to RSS feeds and I am feeding 2 feeds into a gridview of an asp.net page. 1 of the feeds displays perfectly. The second one displays html tags in the desctiption.

I know why the second feed is doing this, if I go to the site of ogirin its grouping the part numbers by manufacturer and creating a basic html table which comes across in the description.

My question is....is this a true RSS feed and if so how can I cope with the html? Because at present on my feed the description looks like this....

<table style="border:1px solid black; border-collapse:collapse;" border="1px" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5"><tr><td>Part No</td><td>Date Code</td><td>Qty</td><td>Mfg</td></tr><tr><td>PIC16F916ISO</td><td>2009+</td><td>10000</td><td>MICROCH</td></tr></table>

Many Thanks,
Dean

As far as I understand Encoded HTML markup is valid. But the markup has to be encoded no <,> etc.
.NET may decode this automaticly when flushed to the page.

Try Server.HTMLEncode on the valud before it's written to the GridView cell.
