send a fax via outllook 2007 and 2010

i have 2 computers one with outlook 2007 and the other with outllok 2010. we are not connected to a server or anything but i wondered if it is still possible to send a fax to someone using outlook and how to do so.

incoming faxes are ok as our ip phone system routes them to our email.

thank you for any help

Unfortunately, short of using a service like efax, having a proper fax server setup locaaly or having a fax modem with an analog phone line connected to the computer, faxing isn't going to happen.

It does sound like you have some sort of fax server there though through the IP phone system.  What type of system is it.  It's possible that there's an outlook plugin or desktop application that will allow you to fax out.

Hope this helps.
