Exchange 2007 - Over limit of 1300 Recurring Appointment, Event ID 8199 and 8273


Dear all,

These two events keep appearing in my Exchange Server. It is non stop and cause the event viewer all occupied by the two event logs (8199 and 8273) unless the user shutdown his laptop. May I know how to increase the limit of recurring appointment?

Environment:
Exchange Server 2007 (CCR):
Version: 08.01.0436.000
2 x CAS server
Mailbox (Active)
Mailbox (Passive)

User is using Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010
Below here are the event log:

Description:
The calendar in mailbox user@abc.com has reached the defined limit of 1300 recurring appointments. Delete unneeded recurring appointments from this calendar in order to create new ones.

outlook /cleanviews
outlook /cleanfreebusy
outlook /cleanreminders

Ti increase limit update your Exchange server. Look KB943371

To resolve this problem in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1, install Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1.
To resolve this problem in the release version of Exchange Server 2007, install Update Rollup 6 for Exchange Server 2007.

It would appear that Microsoft have confirmed that this is a problem and the fixes / updates can be found through the below KB article.

That's a bug. I have updated the service pack one by one and fixed it.

It appears that the member followed the advice given by myself and morpheios which resolved the issue. I suggest splitting the points but as morpheios gave more detail he should get the larger share.
