Sync'ing windows phone to SkyDrive

Microsoft killed their MyPhone app, which I loved for backing up my HTC Touch Pro2 with Windows Mobile (not Windows 7) and replaced it with SkyDrive.  I can't figure out how to use SkyDrive the way I used to use MyPhone.  Does anyone know how?

You need to use the windows live App which you can download here:

SkyDrive can share pictures and documents, but not much more.
You cannot back up the whole phone, or app settings or even data files from apps, unless that app specifically has its own SkyDrive/DropBox backup.
Each WP7 app lives in its own sandbox on the phone, so they can't interact on the phone.
NOTE: The new Mango dev tools has a commandline tool that allows you to access normally protected areas of the phone to copy data files. But thats not for normal users.
