Change the Formatting of All Comments Excell 2010

I've got a shared Spreadsheet where people have commented and saved their comments, but when I goto see those comments their background has been filled black. This is the case for all the comments. I can go in and change the Font Color of the Comment so I can See it, but there are a ton of comments and I think it's a setting or formatting issue.

I've attached an example of the comments that I pasted into a new spreadsheet.

I wasn't sure if anyone else has run across this issue as well or knew the solution for it.

    Accepted Solution

    Not sure why it happened but here is a macro that will change the fill color of all comments to white.  That way you don't have to do it by hand:).

    Sub ChangeFillColorOfAllComments()
    Dim rngCom As Range, rng As Range
    Set rngCom = Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeComments)
    For Each rng In rngCom
        rng.Comment.Shape.Fill.ForeColor.SchemeColor = 65
    Next rng
    End Sub

    Open in new window
