ICA client deployment via group policy

We have just completed setting up a XenApp 6.0 farm in house.

We have configured the Citrix gateway as our preferred method for application deployment. However we are running into trouble getting the Citrix Plugin installed on our domain PCs.

User rights do not allow for a manual install on the users part.

What we would like to do is deploy the client via group policy. We've extracted the msi files from CitrixOnlinePluginWeb.exe but they always error out when we try to push it to the user via GP.

I've read online that there is some MSI configuration you need to do, but everything I've read is for version 11, we are on 12.

Has anyone had any success with this?

our specialist create an .msi file which calls an .cmd script from the DFS.
The script are created with the S2M-tool.
(with the called cmd scrip we have more flexibility for changes while the deployment...)

the called cmd script contains the following:

XENAppV12install.cmd
start /wait \\DFS\...\CitrixOnlinePluginFull12.exe /silent ADDLOCAL="ICA_Client,PN_Agent,SSON,USB,Flash,....." ENABLE_SSON="yes" ENABLE_DYNAMIC_CLIENT_NAME="Yes" SERVER_LOCATION="http://ica"

del "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Online plug-in.lnk" /f

these msi-file are deployed via AD-GPO

PS:
XENAppV12uninstall.cmd
start /wait \\DFS\...\CitrixOnlinePluginFull12.exe /SILENT /uninstall /cleanup
