Renamed domain controller

Hi ,

I renamed the main DC on my network and restarted the machine. Since the restart I am no longer able to access the server via RDP, but it is online as I can view the share and confirmed from another DC in the domain that DNS and active directory changes have replicated and picked up the new name.

The operating system is 2008 R2, would renaming disable RDP settings or am I missing something?

Thanks

Can you access my IP address?

I would delete DNS record then run ipconfig /registerdns.

Then dcdiag /fix

I cannot access via IP address either. Problem is I can only access the server remotely as its hosted in a data centre. As I can't access via IP, DNS doesn't seem to be the issue

No, I would have to visit the data centre. Is there a way to connect from one DC to another and check the RDP settings that way?
