Remote CISCO IP Phone
We are looking for some recommendations for establishing a remote ip phone for a remote worker. We have one user who works outside of the office in a field office. We would like to have the ability to place a cisco 79xx IP phone in their office and connect back to our office. We have CUCM 8. We are just looking at the one user and location at this time.
We don't require any elaborate setup. Something simple would be great. I am guessing we will need a Cisco ASA appliance?
Any recommendations would be great.

on the router correct. Also I believe that it may have to be a SSL vpn to work directly to the phone. You will need to buy licensing and verify that the feature set can handle that.
The SSL licenses for an ASA are priced pretty well as long as you buy their base package which will license the SSL client features (not the clientless vpn however, which are licensed per connection and are much more) for one flat price for an ASA.

Thanks for the information. I will double check the licensing.
