HTML Select

On some occasions in FireFox, a selected element in an option list IS NOT selected in the browser rendering.

For example, this one:

<select name="aord" class="texta" onChange="chk_no_flight();">
<option value="">Select One</option>
<option value="A" style="color:red;">Arriving</option>
<option value="D" selected>Departing</option>
<option value="N">No Flight</option>

    are you using xhtml or html?
    If xhtml you have to declare selected="selected"

    It's html but I suspect that is the issue, I was going to try that anyway.

    This is the case in html too.
