Want to create access query to filter results based on a date field

I want to create a filter in a query on a date field.  The name of the field is patient_eval.    How can I create criteria so the query filters results to only show the past three years from the date in the patient_eval field?  Thank you.

Three years previous to today would be

>=DateSerial(Year(Date())-3,Month(Date()),Day(Date()))

Everything since the beginnig of 2009 is

>=DateSerial(Year(Date())-2,Month(1),Day(1))
