    Accepted Solution

Although the next generation I5's are available, the migration path for Unified Communications is virtualized on Cisco's own UCS C200 platform. The MCS hardware is re-branded IBM and the UCS is Cisco all the way.
With the same 2U of rack space, you can build 5-6 virtual servers with UCM Pub/Sub, UCXN Pub/Sub, Presences Pub/Sub, CCX Pub/Sub, etc.
The UCS-C200M2-VCD2 is a Unified Communications bundle with 24G RAM, 4x 1TB drives. Add VMWare VMW-UC-STD-K9-1A license and you're good to go.
