I need to configure the web interface on a citrix 6.5 server. this is a new install.

So I just installed 6.5 on a 2008 r2 server and now I need to configure the web interface.
I have a public name I am ready to use and need to configure the web interface

Not sure I understand your question.  

When you say you have a public name, I hope that doesn't mean that you're going to put your WI site on the internet.  Your WI site should always be internal, even if in the DMZ, because it doesn't provide the security needed.  

For external access, use either Secure Gateway or Access Gateway for security.

use firewall to NAT your internal address , that ;s all and set correspoing info at the citrix access console ( NAT translation )
