Migrate Autocomplete list from Outlook 2010 back to Outlook 2007

I am moving a user from Outlook 2010 back to 2007 (this is on different PC's).

How can I migrate the Autocomplete list from 2010 back to 2007. 2010 does not have an NK2 file.

Assuming that they started with 2007 and their NK2 file, once imported into 2010, should have been renamed:
profile_name.nk2.old

If going back to 2007, you can simply rename this file back to its original Name to restore the autocomplete cache

If this is not an option, You will need to use 3rd party tool

Some are provided in the link below:

If you need more info on how it works in 2010, which may help

Also take a look at this link which points to Nirsoft and it purports to be able to help.

http://www.addictivetips.com/microsoft-office/nk2edit-edit-outlook-autocomplete-address-cache-file/

Now assuming the user has Contacts, they can emali to contacts and they will rebuild their autocomplete before they know what happened. This will save a lot of experimental grief.

Not really volunteering much info here.

What did you try
What didnt you try

What happened to the users original 2007 nk2 file
If user was upgraded what happened to the nk2.old file

Outlook 2010 saves autocomplete in a DAT file
%AppData%\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\RoamCache

The Name of the File is Stream_autocompleteXXXXXX.dat

usually if someone want to export their nk2 from 2007 to 2010 they can use NK2Edit to resave the NK2 as a .dat file
Then Rename the Dat file to Stream_Autocomplete and overwrite the existing one in 2010.

Now if you were going to try and go from 2010 back to 2007 i would say you only chance here would be to use NK2Edit
Try to rename the Stream_autoComplete back to a NK2 File

Then copy over the the outlook 2007 client

No gurantees though.

user is likely to just have to re-enter re-type the email addresses.

There was no original NK2 File.
the PC started with 2010.

With NK2 Edit, tried several things, but none seem to work.

If the solutions to get autocomplete contacts from Outlook 2010 do not work, then your user will just have to use contacts and type in email addresses to get started. .NK2 files rebuild themselves quite quickly, so not much is lost.
