Advise on increasing Paging File on SBS 2008

I need to increase the Paging File on our SBS 2008 which has 8GB RAM

It is currently set to automatically manage.

Can you confirm that when I set the custom size.. do I set the "initial size" value to the amount which is currently allocated?

Can you confirm if the attached image is correct?

That particular server is running a lot of processes and I have been asked to increase the paging file to 2 x the physical memory

But if you take a look at the screen dump the recommended size is 12285MB.

I am having difficulty with the backup and I have been told to increase the paging file by the software company.

What do you recommend? And is my screen dump correct? ie inital size?

Stelian StanCommented:
I would go for 8192 MB as the initial size and maximum size on C drive and same thing on D drive.

Ok, I might try that.

How come the recommended size is so large in the screen dump (recommended size is 12285MB)
