IPSec Configuration with OSPF

I have nortel VPN box at one location & router of differnent make at remote location.
I would like to configure IPSec between these 2 locations & run OSPF between these 2 locations.
I would like to check does Nortel VPN box supports IPSec with OSPF routing.
Can i use nortel with other vendor devices for IPSec VPN under OSPF ?

You can establish a ospf adjacency using an encrypted tunnel betwen locations.  So it is not ipsec with ospf but what you really want is an ipsec tunnel and ospf riding as an overlay on top of the encrypted tunnel. Tis is done all the time, no problems. I am sure you can get a VPN to establsih between different vendors, it may take tweaking some knobs but as long as they have implemented IPSEC you should be good.

Look at the defaults each vendor uses and adjust accordingly.

What you need it to make sure your Nortel VPN box  and device at the other location supports GRE. This will allow your OSPF routing data to be encapsulated across a vpn. Thus, the OSPF will be encapsulated inside the GRE Tunnel and the GRE Tunnel will be encrypted by ISPEC.

All VPN devices support GRE so there are no problems there. Like I said, encrypted tunnels and OSPF as an overlay is the only way to go, good luck. Soujla can reword it anyway he likes still the same thing.

good luck,
