mdac for windows 7

Is mdac installed in Windows 7?  If so, where?  In Windows XP i found it installed in the following path:  C:\WINDOWS\inf\mdac.inf

    That is not the installed path in XP, that's just the path to the .INF file, which you could use to repair an MDAC installation. The installed path of the drivers are in Windows\System32.

    In XP, MDAC stopped at v2.8 SP1. It is currently present from what I can see in Windows 7. Just follows a more Windows 7ish naming convention.....


    This is how you check the version in XP. Doesn't work in 7 though, but the link below has a method to check in Windows 7....
