When might I need to use an iframe?

I am trying to fully learn the languages Razor, HTML and CSS. And wanted to list the reasons why using an iframe can be helpful.

Thanks.

it appears MergeAttribute method is a key value pair method. It looks like it will change the css class of htmlLink to what is passed in via second parameter. In my opinion the second parameter is a mess.

htmlLink.MergeAttribute("class", "bigBlueText"); might make more sense.

iframes are a bit outdated. The main reason to use one is if you have a third party site that you want to allow the user access to without leaving your site.

I was thinking more like this:

htmlLink.MergeAttribute("class", "button inline btnNotification iframe " + strAddCssClass);

please explain this code:

What have iframes been replaced with?

You can consider putting your content in a div tag with scrollbars on if necessary to replace the iframe.

<div style="width:500px; height:200px; overflow:auto;">
Your content goes here.
</div>
