robocopy /ipg:n sysntax and understanding 101

I'm trying to get a better understanding of how /ipg:n works.
I know N is a variable in millsecs so if I put it to 0 will it run as fast as possible or is there more to it than that?

Hi
in robocopy "/ipg:n" is a Inter-Packet Gap parameter , if you put 0 it miens their is no  gap between packet.
its same as you do not put  "/ipg:n"  parameter !

for more information regarding robocopy switch can be found in fallowing link

thanks but I have looked at those links in the past but I feel they are not  informative enough.
I guess maybe my question should be changed to "how can I make this run as fast as possible?"
Is the /ipg default set to no delay then? Should I just leave it alone?
