Say I have several parking lots  in different cities each with several cameras to monitor activates, woud it be possible to use Google Earth remotely to zoom in and click on a camera and see the video output on my PC's monitor and what  work or equipment would be required if this was possible to do?  i.e.  a .net asp web interface connected to other  stuff etc.. Curious if this could be done somehow?

typically there can be archived feeds to a central storage and live feeds can be configured not for recording by default since the storage can be huge for high resolution. The stored video would then be used for checking out where it is captured base on geolocation input captured by ipcam. It is more of a receiving end from google earth web services via api that may be integrated for display purpose rather than control of ipcam. It is passive replay with more intel from google earth.

Even google earth satellite image need to be update and it is doubtfully real time collected for live feeds. This are my quick thoughts. But even then ipcam need to be identified and probably via dynamic dns for internet access which user can go through their mobile devices. If to achieve global control centrally, it would need google service to have the ipcam api which is kind of reverse mannerand not feasible to support all type since there can be proprietary calls for each vendor.

breadtan: thank you very much. I am curious if I could somehow grab the  lat and lon coordinates of each point  selected on may from the KML input file  by maybe using JavaScript or something and use this information to connect or switch respective video signal on or off?

The ipcam shoild be able to suport the tile actions but you will need a server running at backend to do the translation of the geolocation collected to the angle shift. It is not out of box. Ipcam also need to provide that loc info unless you getting somewhere esle. Overall, it may also required high speed infra for near real time if you talking abt wide area coverage. Just some thoughts.

Breadtan, sorry for delay..  my message may not be clear... I just want to know and capture what placemarker or point that the user clicks on from GE (map) . I need to read and get the point (lat - lon corridates or placemarker) that the user selected on the GE map, once I read in this information I can switch on read the video output from camera located at the point.
