savin printer drivers

I believe I have downloaded the correct printer driver from Savin's website for the Savin B&W 2560 copier/printer.  I have a new Toshiba laptop that is running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  The name of the printer when I search the network says: Savin 2560 PCL6.  It says it cannot find a driver so I need to look for one manually.  I point to the downloaded software and it says this:  WIndows cannot find a suitable printer driver.

That's your driver.
When you prompt to a driver hit "from disk" and choose Extracted folder\s25993en\disk1\ folder to find your driver.

If you tried this steps already, read the "readme.htm" document for troubleshooting conflicts.

Good luck!

It says remote install is not available.   Does this mean I cannot install this printer over the network?  WIth 32 bit machine I can do this?

When you say "remote install is not available" I assume that means you are telling the browser to "run" the driver file from the web.

Instead, first download (save) it to your PC. Then run it. This will extract the driver files. Make note of where on the PC the files are saved. Then install the printer using the Add Printer wizard. When prompted for the driver, point it at the location of the extracted files.
This is what it said in the readme file.  Sorry I didn't specify that.  I have downloaded the file and did it the way you said but I still get the message from my first response.
But that is not a "remote install".

At what point does that message pop up? Does it happen when you download the driver, extract the files, or when you are running the Install Printer wizard?
I'm not doing a remote install.  Let's go back to the original question.  I have downloaded the above driver.  I browse the network for the printer and it comes up.  I highlight it and click ok.  It says it cannot find a suitable driver.  I point to the location I saved the driver file and it says this: WIndows cannot find a suitable printer driver.  I'm not sure what else to do.  I have purchased a few laptops in the past year that were 32 bit and I had no trouble with them.  I suspect that is the problem but don't know.  Any tips on what to do next?
