Help with Script Manager error message

I created a new .aspx form and copied the contents of an existing form to it, changed the name of the class, now when I run the new page I receive the following error:

A ScriptManager control must exist on the current page.

Eventhough I already have a scriptManage on the page:

<asp:Content ID="BodyContent" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent">
    <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server" />

How do i fix this errror?
