4G USB for use with Sonicwall TZ 200

Sonicwall "officially" only supports 3G devices.  Has anyone had any success getting a 4G USB device working with a Sonicwall TZ 200 appliance?  If so, which device on which carrier.

I don't know if 4G is supported but you can find a list of compatible devices here :

Been there.  Done that.  Which is why I posted here.  As I stated Sonicwall only officially supports 3G.  I was hoping someone might have tried and succeeded with a 4G device.

A reasonable answer confirming that 4G devices will not work..

Connected to Verizon 4G/LTEI have tested 4G with a TZ210 on SonicOS Enhanced with a Verizon Novatel USB551L and it connected to 4G/LTE just fine. Keep in mind that this is a Hot Fix firmware. I would expect SonicWALL to release a 4G compatible firmware in SonicOS and greater (whenever that'll be...)

All I can say is that it works!

For more info on this Hot Fix see this SonicWALL Tech Note LINK

    Hi James,

Thank you for contacting DELL SonicWALL Technical Assistance Center.

From the case description I understand that the 4G Verizon USB551L is not being detected by the SonicWALL and would also like to know if any patch/ hotfix is available to fix the issue. To make the 4G cards work, you will have to upload the patch/ hotfix

As of now the only supported cards on the SonicWALL after uploading the patch/ hotfix is AT&T Momentum (Sierra Wireless U313) and AT&T Shockwave (Sierra Wireless 308). The cards (Verizon) were supported but now no longer works with the HF Firmware available since Verizon has made changes to the firmware on the card. Engineering Team is working with Verizon towards a fix.

Note - No ETA is available regarding the fix for Verizon.

    Awaiting your response,

    Dell | SonicWALL TAC.

If I hear otherwise, I will try to post.
