Confused about the meaning of this CSS

I see this code and am confused:

htmlLink.MergeAttribute("class", "button inline btnNotification iframe complete");

it's this:
"button inline btnNotification iframe complete"

that confuses me.

In the CSS file, I see this:
.button.complete .ui-icon,

Please explain what these do?

    Assisted Solution

    That code basically adds the following to your HTML object:

    class="button inline btnNotification iframe complete"

    So, if htmlLink is an <a/> tag, it would appear like this:

    <a id="htmlLink" class="button inline btnNotification iframe complete"...>

    Yes, I see that. I was wondering what it would do to alter the behavior:

    class="button inline btnNotification iframe complete"

    Sorry for the confusion.

    Accepted Solution

    You may assign multiple items to a single class attribute.

    So class directives foe each of the classes will be applied.

    If the following CSS were used, the button would be red, 500px wide, with a blue border, and so forth.

    .button {
    background: red;
    .inline {
    display: inline;
    .btnNotification {
    border: 5px solid blue;
    .iframe {
    width: 500px;
    .complete {
    font-size: 55px;

    Open in new window
