WCF with WS-Security over HTTPS

I'm rather new at this so please excuse my ignorance.

I've got a service that requires a username and password be supplied using security mode=Message and clientCredentialType=UserName that works fine under HTTP but now I need it to work under HTTPS. Everthing I've read refers to changing the security mode to Transport to get HTTPS working but I thought that UserName only works with Message. Is there a way to get Message and UserName to work with HTTPS?
