Unable to search for "open opportunities" in MSCRM 4

We have an MSCRM instance and users are unable to search for "open opportunities" in the sales tab. This is not a permissions issue as it happens for the system admin account as well (which has full permission for everything).

We get the error message "error if this problem persists..."

Hi newgentechnologies,

You have some custom code running for Opportunity? Also check CRM Servers event log if there are any errors which are logged against MSCRM or any warnings on ASP.Net.

Regards,
Chinmay.

There errors in the eventvwr for the MSCRM instance. The code for opportunities should be default. Does anybody with CRM knowledge know why lookups or general searches would fail? All other searches work, just not one for "all opportunities" (my opportunites works for example).

Could you paste/attach error details here. It is possible that some one tried to change all Opportunities view or maybe a custom code(Plugin) is registered on RetrieveMultiple/ExecuteFetch event.

This was resolved by removing the custom entries to the form
