Crystal paging doesn't work with suppressed groups

Hello experts -

I have created a report that has suppressed sections and I would like to use the "new page after" option available in the paging tab of the section expert but the problem is that I am receiving blank pages because Crystal is using all the records - even the suppressed ones.

For  example -

Jimmy Doe's group - not suppressed
John Doe's group - suppressed
Jane Doe's group - not suppressed

When I put the formula 'not onlastarecord' in the "new page after" section I get the following:

Jimmy Doe (page break)
(blank page)
Jane Doe

Can I not use the paging functionality when there are suppressed groups?  I am on Crystal 2008.

Thank you.

You can use it but you may have to use the formula and base it on the formula that suppresses the group.

How are you suppressing the group?

The formula is below:

isnull({Command.HonoreeID})

I tried this is the "new page after" and it didn't work:

not onlastrecord
or isnull ({Command.HonoreeID})

Thank you.

I am putting the formula directly into the section expert to suppress the section rather than calling the formula.

If it is null you do NOT want a new page so you have to negate it

not onlastrecord
or
NOT (isnull ({Command.HonoreeID}))

Thank you - that was it!  I just changed the 'or' to 'and' and it all works!

Thank you.
