Connecting to Windows 7 From Remote Location

Hello Experts,

Can you please tell me if its possible to connect to my Window 7 PC remotely?

I'm not talking about wirelessly while a few feet away :-)

I'm going to attemtp to connect to my desktop from my Ipad while miles away. But before I go ahead with that challenge I would just like to know what needs to be in place before I can connect?

My understanding is that I would need an ip address that I can connect to, however the ip address allocated to my PC from my ISP is not a public ip address.

Any thoughts?

I suggest you that you try TeamViewer. Install it on your PC and set it up, then download to iPad and try to connect to your PC. "orks flaweless.

You can use an app like PocketCloud (free version) or TeamViewer to view/remote to your PC with Windows7.  Go to the App store to get these.

Then you will need to install the Client for whichever app you want to use onto your Windows7 PC and have it running.

It is fairly simple to do.

I personally prefer TeamViewer.  I think the user interface on the iPad is easier to use.

You can try TeamViewer.

They have both an Android and iPhone download.  This works through firewalls.

Thats interesting. I will try TeamViewer, however you do realise I'm talking about connecting to my PC while miles away from my PC?
yes, distance doesn't matter as long as your PC has an internet connection and has the TeamViewer client running

Both x_layer and I had previously suggested TeamViewer and PocketCloud.

I believe the points should be split.
