Anybody is using Telerik RadReminder

From what I read, it appears that RadReminder object can be use independantly from the RadScheduler.

Is this right?

Do you have an example of that (load a couple of appointments in a CustomAlarmForm)?

Eric,

While I haven't used the RadReminder, I would be interested to know how to answer this question.  What version of Telerik controls are you using?  I see that there is a RadReminder and a RadSchedulerReminder (which inherits from RadReminder).  That would suggest that RadReminder would be a base class for IRemindObject implementation.

I have also contacted Telerik and without providing me clear sample, they put me on the right track.

I am using 2011 Q1.

I will surely close the question here.

I hadn't used the Windows Forms controls very much, but I had been using the RadScheduler for ASP.NET/AJAX.  I was wondering if the RadReminder was cross-platform?

This is the reply I got from Telerik (very disapointing compared to what I normally get):

Yes, you can use RadReminder apart from RadScheduler. Briefly, RadReminder is an object that can remind you of any objects that implement the IRemindObject interface. Such object is RadRemindItem and you can inherit from it directly. The Appointment type also implements IRemindObject, so you can use them directly. Here is a short sample of how to use RadReminder:
RadReminder reminder = new RadReminder();
reminder.AddRemindObject(newAppointment(DateTime.Now,TimeSpan.FromHours(1),"Remind me"));
reminder.StartReminder();

You can display a custom alarm form by handling the AlarmFormShowing event. This can be seen in the Reminder example under RadScheduler examples in our Demo Application.

Here you can find more information about RadReminder.

I found that very often, Telerik has very similar object on different platforms but are not exactly the same.
