Hi Experts,

I've a solution which contains more than 50 projects. I would like to run the Fxcop for few number of projects where those projects are in particular folder. Is is possible to fetch the result in one go?

The report is able to save as XML file. But I would like to save it as Excel sheet.

   Please guide me. Thanks.

    Accepted Solution

You can just run FxCop against all the projects at once by adding all the assemblies to your FxCop project.

Thanks for your comments. Is there any way instead of adding each dll individually if I specify the folder name, all the PROJECTs inside the folder's DLL should get added to the Fxcop? How could I get the report in excel as well?

    Assisted Solution

You can quite easily add a whole folder using the commandline just use a wildcard for the input and point it to a specific folder.  This is harder from the Ui,  though I think you should be able to multi select there.

I haven't directly exported to excel,  so I can't help you there from my mobile.  I'll look into it when I'm back home.

Which version of fxcop are you using exactly?
