Laptop Charging voltage

I have a client who's laptop takes 19.5v 3.34amp charge.

They are wanting to use a "universal" adapter which fits, but is rated at 19.5v 4.74amps

Of course I told them not to use it, but I wanted to double check.

That should not be any problem. Important is that the Voltage is correct and the Amperage not less than what your laptop needs. If it can supply more Amps that is fine.
