Are you using AD for your DHCP and/or DNS?  Are the DNS zones AD integrated? Is the zone file setup to accept dynamic updates? Which version of Windows Server?  What happens when you do "ipconfig /registerdns"?  Is this happening to all computers on your network?  Was this working properly at an earlier time?

The following command should resolve your issue, provided everything on the back end is setup properly.
ipconfig /registerdns
