Email clients

My OS is windows 7 and I use Outlook 2007.  While outlook has served its purpose, but once in a while it stops functioning or misbehaving.  Like now I do not get any emails thru my Inbox not even the Spam email.  This means a trip to the fee based support with Microsoft who will restore it back to normal again.  Although I follow their steps, but my technical knowledge is beyond them as what they are doing and fixing up things.
I am thus researching for other email clients.  Although I have heard a few by name like Thunderbird, Eudora, Incredimail but have not used them to evaulate their functionalities and also their stability.
My needs are that there should be a calendar, contacts, and also it should be able to work with Act for Sage 2011, so that I could file the emails into Sage under the contact's  folder.  And this has served me well.   A key decisive factor is Support, whether I can get telephone support whether fee based or free.
Hope I could see the feedback of Gurus and Experts of what email clients they use that have the functionalities as described for my needs.  Thank u

Do you know if you are using POP or Exchange email?

In your situation, I would recommend a hosted Exchange solution. It may not be an outlook issue. With hosted Exchange, you can then get support as part of your hosting plan. The good hosting providers ( I resell Rackspace) will cost you about 10$ per mailbox per month. Exchange email will do all that you ask here, but will also give you the ability to use your mailbox remotely through webmail. Thus if you did have any issues, you would not be without email, contacts, calendar, ect.

And to answer your question, I usually find the client is not the issue when it comes to stability. I have used all of thema nd have been very happy with Outlook.

Thank u for pointing me in the right direction.  I was sure that Outlook was not the culprit as I had it for since inception, and also there would have been an outcry
