I've never heard of an alfa wireless card. BT doesn't support all wireless cards, and if you need it for wardriving, even less are supported. On the BT forums you should find a list of suitable cards that have been tested.

One that I'm using and which works fine, out of the box, is a USB wireless card, a TP-Link TL-WN727N, and it is probably one of the cheapest available, and since it is USB you can use it on any PC with USB ports, and even if BT is running in a VMware Virtual Machine.

The wireless card worked fine on another computer running in Virtual Box.

I am having trouble installing the drivers.

I can see all the files on the install disk running in the CD player, but I can't install anything.

How do I change to the cd drive from root? I will try a command line install.

Do you really need to install drivers? In Linux things are usually plug and play, and you don't need any CD's with drivers. In VBox, what OS were you running as host and as a VM? It is possible that if the host OS was using the Wireless LAN card that you then just get an emulated card in the VM, and not the actual wireless card.
