outlook email to 2 distros

I am using 2 distrobution lists.    2 of the distrobution lists have the same email address in it.   Will the individual receiving the email receive 2 emails or is outlook smart enough to only send this person one email?

The person will receive two emails. I have seen this happen before. ... Thinkpads_User
Have you got your box 'Leave a copy of messages on the server' checked
in Tools > Accounts > Mail > Properties > Advanced? If so, try
unchecking it.

Un-check "leave messages on the server" and then "Send and receive" to get the mailbox cleaned out. You can then re-check it. We suggest you only leave messages on the server for 10 or 15 days, depending on your mail usage.

If List A contains email1 and content A and then List B contains email 1 and content B, email 1 is going to get both emails no matter the settings of "Leave Mail on Server" . Outlook cannot determine content to be equal, so it does not check for the same email on two lists so far as I know. .... Thinkpads_User

I am a little confused by your responses but I don't need further info on this anymore.   I would like to award points to both of you for your time and effort.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay.
