How to change the default dictionary language in Office 2010?

My Office 2010 always uses English (US) dictionary to do spelling check while I would like to use English (Canada) instead.

I thought this was simple, but I spent hours and could not make it.

Anyone could help?

Thanks

Go to 'Word Option' that was under Office Ribbon in 2007 version.

Then go to --> Proofing  --> Select Custom Dictionary --> Make Change

It cant't be very different in 2010 ;)

To softpro2k:

Your solution works in Word 2010, but not in Outlook 2010.
Oh.... I forgot you mentioned 'Office 2010'.

You can try changing the 'Regional & Language Setting' for your O/S from 'control Panel' and make necessary change. This will make system-wise change in language.

For Outlook, find where the 'Option' menu is. Normally it is under 'Tools' menu or 'File' Menu or the Newly introduced 'Office Ribbon'. Then you need to change settings under Spelling or Proofing options......

I use Office 2007. And as I said, It can't be very different in 2010 ;)  Microsoft just show nose from different direction in each new version. Just joking... :)
In outlook 2010 it is located in File -> Options -> Language
Select editing language and set it as defaut
