Cross tab average in Crystal Reports XI.

I am writing a report using Crystal Reports XI.

In it i have a cross tab showing patients(row) and dates(cols) and the result of a test for the specific patient/date in the table.

I would like to show the Average of the values in each column.  i.e. the average test result for all the patients on a given date.

Any idea how i can do this?  All i can find at the moment is a way of showing the the totals.

I have already calculated the average in the report by grouping on the date.

CR 2008 added a capability to include calculated fields in a cross tab.  If upgrading is an option you might try that.

You can also try changing the total summary to an Average
