VPN Configuration on Sonicwall TZ100
Hi everyone,
A collegue of mine just bought a sonicwall TZ100 to be put with a customer who needs VPN-access to his workplace. The thing is that there is only a Windows 7 machine at the workplace for our application (no server is needed).
Normally, we configure VPN PPTP to a Windows Server 2008 with RRAS who handles the VPN-request. Now the sonicwall needs to authenticate with built-inn users. Normally you should have to use the application on the clients to connect to the Sonicwall. Is there a way of not using the application?
We were thinking about installing RRAS on a windows 7. I have found some posts:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itpronetworking/thread/927884af-d0bc-40fb-9233-612901bcfa2f
Is this the right way and which ports need to be forwarded to reach the windows 7 machine?
Thanks in advance!! I hope we can just configure this on the sonicwall itself without having to use the application on the clients.
Cheers!

The TZ100 supports SSLVPN, so once you add the user, you could use a browser to coonect. Alternately you can download NetExtender to use SSLVPN, and bypass a browser.
Good call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the sonicWALL's dosupport SSLVPN. I keep forgetting about that.

Thanks for the suggestions!! We were thinking of this but the problem is that they only have a license for 2 users and they need more..
Do you have any idea how much extra licenses cost and will you advice this?
