hi

i have a site - the server side is  written in asp basic - i wont to write a vertion for smartPhone

anty problem to stay with the basic asp ?

i know that i have a lot of work on client site - i hope the asp can stay (moste of hime)

Check this site to implement detection of mobile browser: http://detectmobilebrowsers.com/ (they have an example written in classic ASP).
You can redirect your visitors to mobile version of the site with this.

There is no difference between "normal" and mobile version of your server side script. The only change is client side where you would have to rewrite and optimize the code for mobile browsers. This article might help you: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/11/03/how-to-build-a-mobile-website/
